Nomophobia Smart Phone Case

Product redesign and manufacture of the Nomophobia smart phone case for NOMO LABS — 3 models (VIEW, TOUCH, PRO) with 1,000+ custom cases produced before COVID-19.

As NOMO LABS started growing in Mexico, a great opportunity for product placement was arising. NOMO LABS founder (Adrian Hinojosa) reached out and asked us if we could help him to redesign his nomophobia smart phone case, allowing customers to focus on their work/school/events while having their phones with them.

The NOMO redesign project allowed us to take the main aspects of each model already on their portfolio and turn them into a modern, friendly and production-efficient case. NOMO VIEW allows users to view their phones inside the case but not use them. NOMO TOUCH allows partial use but not the camera. NOMO PRO blocks all signals with ballistic membranes.

I managed the project end-to-end, conceptualized the visual direction, created sketches for validation, led product redesign and 3D model generation, and supervised manufacture. Successful production of 1,000+ custom made cases before COVID-19 paused operations.
